Summer Intern Program

At Thompson Construction, we understand that interns are the future of our industry. Our internship program provides meaningful, hands-on field experience to prepare students for a career in the construction industry. Interns work to build their skills around construction management and the various business needs of the project. They work hand in hand with their Project Manager as well as their mentor to build the industry knowledge and leadership skills needed to make immediate impact upon entering the workforce. For the summer of 2020, Thompson hired 21 interns, working on 18 different projects, spanning 6 states in the southeast. Together they represent 5 different universities and a range of technical majors.
